“Madam Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly,

Honourable Members, Members of the Commission on
Finance and Budget,

Ladies and Gentlemen,

That I be allowed from the outset, on behalf of the Government, the Minister of Economy, Planning and Regional Planning, the Ministers Delegates, the Collaborators who accompany us and mine clean, thank you very much sincerely for the kind and encouraging comments you have just made to us. They reflect not only the warmth of your welcome, but also and above all, the excellent collaboration between your August Commission and the Government, which is in accordance with the provisions of the law on the financial system of the State.

Madam President of the Finance Committee and from the budget,

Ladies and Gentlemen Commissioners,

I appreciate the extent of the honour being done to us, as well as the dimension of our responsibility in such circumstances. The precious, constant and unreserved support you give to the economic, social and cultural development policy defined by H.E. Mr. Paul Biya, President of the Republic, and implemented by the Government led by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Mr. YANG Philemon, confirms our belief that the national economic recovery effort, by will inexorably lead us towards emergence by 2035.

It is therefore with great and real pleasure that the Government through my ministerial department, with a view to the review of the draft Finance Act of 2019, has subscribed to the following from national representation to the obligation to inform parliament on developments of the international and national economic situation, on the orientations public finances and on the continuation of induced investment projects by the implementation of public policies, underpinned by the Document of Growth and Employment Strategy (DSCE).

This exercise, we are convinced, will enable us together, as in the past, and throughout this session, to enrich the finance bill for the 2019 financial year, and to obtain a budget whose implementation should promote the improvement of the well-being of the populations you represent…”
